Entering our 10th anniversary year, the team at Abshire PR recently made a huge decision about the direction of our company. We made a one-year commitment to have our office at ThincSavannah – Savannah’s premier co-working space. It’s not a decision that was entered in lightly, as it has the potential to have large impact on Abshire PR. But, we see the potential impact as being primarily, if not all, positive, and decided this was the correct direction for Abshire PR in 2011.

So just what is a co-working space? Offices like ThincSavannah are set up very much like a traditional office for any sort of larger business might be, with private offices, conference rooms, numerous work stations and plenty of spaces for collaboration. The main difference though is rather than being comprised of employees from one large company, the roster at ThincSavannah reads like a who’s-who of Savannah small businesses. So, what we wind up with is a great working space where we have access to some of the best business minds and services in Savannah – all under one roof.

In a small-business ecosystem, there is a great deal of interdependence among companies. Operating out of a co-working space like ThincSavannah, Abshire PR now has access to large number of the small businesses that we depend on, and who depend on us. Rather than a phone call or email that often can take hours or days to get a response from, the experts we sometimes lean on are right down the hall. Project planning, execution, and even networking have all just been simplified.
