When we describe ourselves as Full Service we mean it!

The Smack Dab team has been spending lots of time in Garden City lately.

The city of Garden City called on us to produce a brochure and direct mail campaign outlining the benefits of the city to current and future residents. Working closely with a team of land planning experts, PR consultants and many others, we directly contribute to the marketing and strategic planning for Garden City’s expansion efforts. These days it’s not out of the ordinary to find Hannah and Liz driving through Garden City interviewing residents and taking photographs for the next design piece. When SDS is involved in a project, you can be sure from beginning to end the project has our “smack” of approval. No task is too big or too small, when we say Full Service, we mean it!

Smack Dab Proudly Launches New Colonial Dames Web Site

Posted on November 5th, 2009 by Hannah

We’re thrilled to announce that the new Colonial Dames web site is live at www.nscdaga.org. This sleek, patriotic-themed site marks the first time that the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in The State of Georgia has enjoyed a stand-alone web site.

The user-friendly site includes updated information about the Colonial Dames historic properties in Georgia, including the Andrew Low House in Savannah. In addition to designing the site, we also secured the new domain name, developed the branding and created a complete content management system allowing the Dames to update their site as needed.talk.NSCDAGA

NPR: Too much free WiFi, bad for business?

Posted on September 29th, 2009 by Hannah

nprlogo_138x46As a company that prides itself on the ability to be completely “Virtual” (that is, we no longer have an official brick-and-mortar location), we enjoy the benefits of free WiFi from what seems like an endless supply of locations throughout the world, and obviously a large portion of that time we spend right in our own home-town coffee shop(s).  Check out this news report from NPR about the debate coffee houses are having about limiting free WiFi.  Say it isn’t so!

What’s in a name?

Posted on September 22nd, 2009 by Hannah No comments

It’s hard to imagine that we’d be called anything else but Smack Dab Studios…but way back in September of 2004 there were quite a few other company names we discussed.  In fact, at one point “Smack Dab” wasn’t even our first choice.   I searched through my old files and found our “short list” of potential company names.  Good for laughs!
